An Acne Free You

Acne is a problem that many people have to deal with. Acne does not discriminate; it doesn’t care whether you are male, female, a teen, or a middle-aged person. Babies even get a form of acne when they are freeing their systems of their mother’s hormones. Acne is a problem, but it can be one that is an easy fix.

First you must know some things that trigger your outbreaks:
Is it the types of food you are eating? Try to avoid foods that have caused breakouts in the past. Drink plenty of water to help detoxify your skin.

Do you wear oil-based makeup or sunscreen? Only use products that are oil free, this will help keep the pores free of excess oil that will clog the pores and cause blackheads and acne.

Is your hair oily and constantly in your face? Keep your hair clean and out of your face; try keeping the bangs off of the forehead.

While sitting at your desk do you rest your head on your hands? This can lead to breakouts by introducing more oil and dirt to the skin. Keep hands clean to avoid adding more dirt and oil to the face.

Develop a good skin care regime and stick to it. You should cleanse, exfoliate, tone, and moisturize daily. Find products that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to kill the bacteria on the skin’s surface.
Once the skin is clean use a scrub to remove dead skin cells and open up the pores. A toner will return the skin to its natural pH level and a good oil free moisturizer will keep the skin supple. Over-drying of the skin will result in the production of more oil, so don’t skip this step.

For spot treatments use products that are targeted for this. There are many wonderful products available OTC and you don’t have to spend a lot to get great results. Just follow the simple steps of a daily skin care regime, avoid oily products, and try not to touch your face, keep your hair clean, and never go to bed with your makeup on.

Go ahead and put you best face forward! Here’s to an acne free you!
